Jonathan Kaye – Senior Portfolio Manager
Mr. Kaye has over 19 years of extensive experience in trading and managing proprietary FX and bond derivative books in the United States, Europe and Emerging Markets. In 1999, Mr. Kaye co-founded Pi Financial Instruments, one of the largest proprietary derivatives houses in Israel. Since that time he has been in charge of the group’s risk management and proprietary trading of global bonds and FX derivatives book. In March 2006, Mr. Kaye launched Pi Fund specializing in trading hedged global sovereign fixed income and FX instruments.
Mr. Kaye started his career in 1992 trading listed options for Susquehana Investment Group, a Chicago based securities firm. From 1997 to 1999 Mr. Kaye was head of the proprietary derivatives desk at Ilanot-Batucha, a leading Israeli securities firm. He was awarded a BA Cum Laude and MBA both from Harvard University in 1992 and 1997, respectively. He also served as the captain of the National Champion (1991) Harvard squash team and earned a spot on the All-Ivy League team in 1989-90, 1990-91 and 1991-92.
Aviad Kotler - Portfolio Manager
Aviad has vast experience in trading Emerging Markets and Developed countries Fixed Income and Commodities. Aviad joined the Pi Group in 2006, in his previous position he traded Short Term Interest Rates Futures and Options as a Proprietary trader, specializing in the European and UK markets. His Proprietary operation then expanded to specializing in Market Making activities for London based Euronext LIFFE, Chicago’s CME as well as other renowned financial exchanges. Prior to joining the PI Group, he worked as a Foreign Exchange trader at Finotec after finishing his B.A. in Economics with a division in Math from Ben Gurion University.
Dan Rosenberg - Portfolio Manager
Dan specializes in trading interest rates and foreign exchange derivatives. Prior to joining Pi, Dan was the chief interest rate derivatives trader for bank Hapoalim, Israeli’s largest bank. Under Dan’s 8 years tenure at Bank Hapoalim, the bank became the premier local market maker in interest rate derivatives products. Dan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, major in Finance, from The Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya, Graduated with Honors in July 2002.
Roy Iram - Portfolio Manager
Over the past 8 years Roy has been part of the Pi Group, where he acquired his experience in trading derivatives in both Local and global markets. His expertise is in trading FX volatility instruments. Roy joined Pi Funds team at the beginning of 2013, where he focuses on trading global currency volatility.
Moshe Sarfaty – Risk Manager
Moshe Sarfaty has been the Risk Manager at Pi Fund since 2011. Before joining the Company he worked as a proprietary trader at Barak Capital. Prior to that he spent three years at Lehman Brothers on the trading desk and structuring positions. He holds a dual major BA degree in Computer Science and Economics from Tel-Aviv University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Dafna Danieli – Chief Compliance Officer, Investor Relations
Ms. Danieli has been the head of the Fund’s operations since inception and joined the Company as the Executive Assistant to the CEO in 2004. Prior to that she was a senior financial analyst at Spacenet Inc. in Virginia, USA. From 1994 to 2000 Ms. Danieli was a senior analyst and a member of the Mizrachi Bank pension funds investment committee. She has a BA and MA in Economics both from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel.
Victoria Ostrovsky – VP Finance
Ms. Ostrovsky has been the Vice President of Finance since the Fund’s inception in 2006. Before joining Pi Fund she held a back office management position at ForEx, an Israeli foreign currency broker. Prior to that Ms. Ostrovsky spent three years at the export and marketing department of Israeli hi-tech firm MALCAM Ltd. Between 1994 and 1997 she worked in client account management at the foreign currency department of Poltava Bank in Ukraine. Ms. Ostrovsky holds an MBA from the Tel Aviv University.
Joseph (Yossi) Amihud – Political Advisor
Mr. Amihud is a former ambassador to the Council of Europe, UNESCO and Mexico, in addition to being a former Spokesman for the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a former Consul General in France. Mr. Amihud has been a career diplomat with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel. He served at the Embassies of Israel in Ankara, Turkey and Rome, Italy. He was head of the permanent Israel mission to UNESCO in Paris, consul-general in the south and east of France, representative of Israel to the council of Europe with the rank of ambassador and Ambassador of Israel to Mexico and the Bahamas. In Israel Mr. Amihud served as the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Director of the press department in Jerusalem. He also participated as deputy spokesman of the Israeli delegation to the peace negotiations with Lebanon (following the “Peace for Galilee” operation) and served as the spokesman of the delegation of Israel to the Madrid peace conference. Prior to the assignment as ambassador to Mexico he served as the Director-General of the “State of Israel Bonds” in France. Before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Amihud was an assistant lecturer at the faculty of political sciences at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and at the Bar-Ilan University. He has a B.A. degree in Economics and Business administration from Robert College, New York and an M.A. degree in Political Science from Haifa University, Israel. He is also a graduate of the National Security College of the Israel Defence Forces.
